Supported Bluetooth cubes
One cube is enough for most of the effects, however, the real killer is the cube cloning effect, for which you will need two bluetooth cubes (can be different models as well).
Here is a video I've made a few years ago (some new cube models have been released since). You will find all compatible models listed below the video.
Xiaomi
The Xiaomi Mijia Magic Cube is my all-time favorite bluetooth cube. Sadly the production ended in 2023, so now you can only buy these cubes from Electricks (branded as "Classic" or "Deluxe" models), or buy used cubes second hand.
This cube has a replacable button battery (1632) therefore it has no charging holes. The body of the cube is black matte plastic, and the stickers have nice pale colors. You can re-sticker it if you want a more authentic look. The cube goes to standby after 15 minutes if not connected, but stays connected forever once you use it.
If you would like to get the ultimate experience, you should modify the Xiaomi cube to make it silent and look like a regular cube: Click here to see how you can modify the Xiaomi cube
Giiker
There are several versions of the Giiker 3x3 bluetooth cube, and all of them are supported by CubeSmith. The discontinued prediction app called "Rubiked" (by Vincent Tarrit) also used Giiker cubes, so you can use the same cube(s) with CubeSmith.
Unfortunately the 2018-2020 models seem to have a common "out-of-sync" problem after some months of usage, but this bug is corrected in the 2021 model (Giiker i3S Light).
GAN and MonsterGo
So far all of the bluetooth GAN models seem to be supported, but only the latest models are available for purchase online.
Models that are officially supported (tested):
- GAN356 i (gyroscope)
- GAN356 i2 (gyroscope)
- GAN356 i3 (gyroscope)
- GAN356 i4 (gyroscope)
- GAN356 i Play
- GAN356 i Carry
- GAN356 i Carry S
- GAN356 i Carry 2
- GAN356 i Carry E
- GAN356 i Carry 4
- GAN12 UI
- GAN12 UI Maglev (gyroscope)
- GAN12 UI freeplay
- GAN mini UI freeplay
- Monster Go 3Ai
The more expensive models have a gyroscope, so we can tell which side is facing up (and use this feature in some routines). The cheaper Play and Carry models don't have a motion sensor, but their battery life is significantly better. The GAN Carry models and the GAN Monster GO MG3 Ai are powered by a button battery, so they need no charging.
GAN cubes are usually available in stickered and stickerless versions. The cubes are really light, magnetic (easy to turn) and they don't beep when connecting/disconnecting. However, if you play with them while not connected to the app, they can easily loose sync and you'll need to manually solve them (and do a RESET in the app).
You can buy the cubes either directly from GAN, or from other sellers online (and also in some Rubik shops).
QiYi (Art/Speed)
These newer Chinese bluetooth cubes are really great for CubeSmith. The "Art" version has classic colors, and a bit more rounded edges. While it looks stickered, the material is indeed stickerless plastic. The "Speed" version is the usual stickerlkess model. Both versions are great to handle, turn very smooth and precise (thanks to the magnets and the lubrication). They run on button batteries, which are quite difficult to replace... but the cubes are really cheap, and the batteries should last for a few years.
MoYu AI (2023) and MoYu v10 AI (2024)
These MoYu models work well with CubeSmith. The handling feels the same as with the MonsterGo cube. They only come in a stickerless version. The 2023 version runs on button battery (I'm not sure about the battery replacement process, but it might be possible). The v10 (2024) model has a gyroscope and a rechargeable battery.
Rubik's
The Rubik's Connected has a rechargable battery, doesn't make weird noises when turned, doesn't beep when connecting or disconnecting. Always ready, no need to wake it up. It only needs restickering, as the white center has the Rubik's logo, and the yellow center has the charging holes. After restickered, the cube can be charged after temporarily removing the plastic cover of the yellow center. The price of the cube is quite high, but I think it's worth buying.

The Rubik's Connected X has a CR-1225 button battery (no charging needed), doesn't make weird noises when turned, doesn't beep when connecting or disconnecting. Always ready, no need to wake it up. It only needs restickering, as the white center has the Rubik's logo, and the yellow center has the charging holes.
